FAQ

Do you accept credit cards?

We are a cash only dance hall.

Do you have an ATM?

Not on the premises. The closest ATM is directly across the street from our front door, under Cotton Eyed Joe’s side awning.

Can I get advance tickets to the show that I want to see?

Advance tickets are available for some (but not all) of our shows at Gruene Hall. To find out about tickets for an individual show, please visit the Full Calendar. Any show with a Buy Tickets button next to it will have advance tickets available.

How do I order advance tickets?

For the shows offering advance tickets you can purchase tickets on-line from our Full Calendar page. Tickets to some shows may be purchased in person at Gruene Hall or by calling 830-629-5077.

If my plans change, can I get a refund on my tickets? Can I exchange them?

Tickets to shows at Gruene Hall, including the Gospel Brunch, are non-refundable and not exchangeable. Please be certain of your ability to attend before purchasing your tickets. Gruene Hall is not responsible for tickets purchased from resale or third-party vendors, such as TicketMaster.

What happens if I lose my tickets? Can I have them resent to me?

Yes. Click here and enter your email address to have them resent. Gruene Hall is not responsible for providing replacements of tickets purchased from resale or third-party vendors, such as TicketMaster.

Will I be guaranteed a seat at a table, and will I be able to dance?

Admission into Gruene Hall does not guarantee seating, and there is no guaranteed dance space.  Please be aware that shows vary from dances, to concert seating, to standing room only. You can find out the set-up for the show when you purchase your ticket.

Are kids allowed in Gruene Hall?

All ages are welcome at Gruene Hall unless otherwise noted for ticketed shows. For “Cover at the Door” shows, kids 10 years old and under pay half price. All kids – no matter the age – must pay full price for shows that have advance tickets.

Are pets allowed in Gruene Hall?

No pets allowed in the hall or beer garden. Service animals are permitted, but must follow the guidelines set forth by the ADA.

Can I smoke in Gruene Hall?

As of May 1st of 2014, we no longer allow smoking indoors at Gruene Hall. While smoking has long been a part of Gruene Hall’s culture, the time finally came to limit smoking to outdoors only.

Can I bring my own chair into Gruene Hall?

No. Chairs may not be brought into the dance hall. Limited seating is available for most shows and there is additional seating in the beer garden. Seating is first come, first serve, so if you need a seat for a cover show or concert, we suggest you arrive when the doors open.

When does Gruene Hall offer live music?

Gruene Hall has live music seven nights a week, as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Most Friday and Saturday nights require a cover charge or advance ticket purchase, while the rest of the time live music is offered at no charge to the public. Check our Full Calendar for times and prices.

How far in advance is the band schedule posted?

Recommend a place to eat?

If our NEW Sausage & Cheese Plate aren’t what you are looking for, there are several great restaurants in Gruene. We recommend Gristmill  River Restaurant & Bar, which sits in a refurbished cotton gin over-looking the Guadalupe River behind Gruene Hall, or Mozie’s, a bar and grill across the street from Gruene Hall. If you’re looking for Tex-Mex, Cantina del Rio is right down the street and can’t be beat!
